A 260 metre long Go Kart track, a side winder, Helter Skelter and a Robo-Coaster are just some of the amazing attractions that will greet visitors to Weston-super-Mare's brand new Pier when it opens its doors to the public for the first time in October last year. The Pier contains some world-class rides and attractions, but it also includes some of the old favourites, like the Ghost Train and the dodgems. In total there are 16 brand new rides. Weston's Grand Pier will now be able to host concerts for up to 3,500 people and provide conference and banqueting facilities. There is even a wedding chapel in one of the towers and function rooms throughout the three-storey building. With all its' new facilities the Pier will now be able to become much more than a tourist attraction. It will be able to provide a stylish venue for children's parties, fashion shows, Circus performances and corporate events as well as offer a lot of fun and thrills to all its visitors.
